SBT owns two patents for the remanufacturing of press fit crankshafts like the ones used in PWC engines. The patents cover the tools and fixtures used for phasing and truing crankshafts. Each remanufactured Sea Doo engine comes with a one year or two year fault free warranty. This warranty will cover the remanufactured Seadoo engine due to any type of failure including overheating, detonation, water intrusion, and lean seizure. In other words, the remanufactured Seadoo engine is covered for any type of failure, SBT’s fault, or the owner’s.
SBT owns and operates the only PWC engine research lake in the world. Alligator Point as it is known consist of a 40 acre lake, a stationary dock and living facilities for staff to conduct around the clock testing. Endurance testing and performance testing ensure that SBT's engines meet or exceed OEM requirements.
